Faith without works is dead.


James Chapter 2

14 What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him? 15 And if a brother or sister be naked and want daily food: 16 And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit? 17 So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself. 18 But some man will say: Thou hast faith, and I have works. Show me thy faith without works; and I will show thee, by works, my faith. 19 Thou believest that there is one God. Thou dost well: the devils also believe and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?




Trying to understand how a piece of cloth, can be associated with an action toward faith, is like trying to understand why the bleeding women in `The New Testament`, would need to touch the hem of the garment of Christ, when it was her faith that made her whole.



However, she did leave her home, braking Leviticus laws of bodily fluid discharges, of her continuance bleeding.

And she did `seek` out, Christ. Her seeking is symbolic of spiritual `works`.


Luke 11:9

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.



She did understand that all Jewish Priest held a blue string tied to the
wing of their prayer shawl and by her touching the hem of Christ garment, this action was demonstrating her faith and works.

How does a banner [flag], as a piece of cloth [material], yield any divine
intervention ?

The Banner [flag], the Prayer Cloth and the Hem of a Garment
all three speak to the daughter’s of God [IHVH], as follows :

The bleeding woman story, in the New Testament, believed she should touch the hem of the garment of Christ . . .

WHAT WAS THIS BELIEF BASED UPON ?

ANSWER :

The blue string attached to the wing of the Priest garment [shawl],
was a Hebrew custom. To understand this custom of garment attire,

The New Testament clearly defines Christ wearing a prayer shawl
with the traditional blue tassel (cord/string) attached to the wing
of the hem of the garment.

Hem of Garment

An important part of an Israelite’s dress, owing to the regulation of Num. 15: 38-39. It was really a tassel at each “wing” or corner of the tallith or mantle (Matt. 14: 36). The law required that it should be bound with a thread of blue, the color of heaven. The strict Jews to this day wear these tassels, though they are usually concealed. The Pharisees made them conspicuously large (Matt. 23: 5). It would be the tassel that hung over the shoulder at the back that the woman with the issue of blood came and touched (Luke 8: 44; also Ex. 28: 33-34).



The Leviticus Law of the Breastplate of Judgment and all the High Priest garment requirements, carry forth the theme of the blue cord
attached to the wing of Jesus’ prayer shawl.



Without Jewish study of the Old Testament High Priest garment
requirements, the reader will not understand why the bleeding woman in the New Testament, was compelled to touch the hem of Christ garment.




The Prayer Shawl is a symbolic garment [cloth] of Light, the hem of the Priest is a symbolic garment of Light, the handkerchief’s and apron’s of Paul were garments of Light.

The Prayer Cloth is symbolic of a garment of Light.

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:


The understanding of a garment of Light, is why the High Priest was under the strict atonement rules in clothing attire.



How does the Biblical banner, apply to the prayer cloth ?

When the American Flag is flying, we salute it. When we see Babylon and the spirit of Balaam, burning the American Flag, we are
moved in our soul to reject this image of defamation of the flag [banner], correct ?






However, burning of the flag [banner] does not destroy our American patriotically inspired memories. Praise God [IHVH] !








The cloth of a banner [flag], is indeed a cloth with material value and a prayer cloth is a cloth with material value !

The anointing of the hem of Christ garment, is a prayer
shawl clothing item, a cloth of material value.

The handkerchief’s and apron’s of Paul are clothing
items, with material value.

The faith the bleeding woman pursued to seek out Christ, to touch the hem of His garment, is what healed her, per Christ statement as follows :

MOSES’ BANNER POLE :


Numbers 21:8

Just as Moses raised the banner pole in the wilderness, to represent
Christ being raised on the pole [tree] of crucifixion, the tree Christ
died on is a material tree.


Galatians 3:13-14
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." 14He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.



The garment called, `a robe`, that the Roman’s placed on Christ was
a material cloth item.

The burial Shroud of Christ, was a garment of material.

However, when we believe in Christ resurrection from the banner (flag pole), the tree of crucifixion is not our focus. We elevate our thinking from the material world, into the realm of faith.







Our focus is Christ our Messiah, resurrected as the Lord of Lord’s, The Son of God [IHVH], the `LOGOS`, `the WORD` made flesh.

Hebrews 4:14
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.


The prayer cloth is a piece of cloth . . . the material realm.

The example of faith with works, of the bleeding woman, elevates her
action of touching the hem of Christ garment, becoming an example of the manifested healing.

The clothing material of the hem of the garment, was not the objective of the bleeding woman.

THE OBJECTIVE WAS AN ACT OF FAITH.

The tangible becoming intangible.

The laying on of hands, starts with a tangible material action, by laying the hands on the sick, ending with intangible results of faith, not visible, not tangible.

Medicinal and Prayer For The Sick



· Oil was used also for medicinal purposes. It was applied to the sick, and also to wounds (Psalms 109:18; Isaiah 1:6; Mark 6:13; James 5:14).


Introduction

Anointing oils can be used as a symbolic representation of our faith in Jesus Christ to answer our prayers through divine intervention; consecration, sanctification, applied as a healing salve or ointment that has true medicinal attributes, used as a perfume for hygiene purposes, funeral or embalming practices, or preparing weapons for warfare. Praying For Others With Anointing Oil

Important Things To Remember



When using anointing oil during times of prayer, it is important to remember the anointing oil is only a tangible symbolic representation of our faith in Jesus Christ. Anointing oils have no "special power" in and of themselves. It is Jesus Christ alone who performs miracles and answers our prayers of faith...with or without anointing oil.



In (Mathew 6:7) the Bible clearly states God knows what we need before we ask him and instructs us how to pray. (Matthew 6:9-10) "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven". (1 John 5:14-15) "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him". Therefore, we need to pray for God's will to be done and surrender our own (Luke 22:42). "Not thy will, but Thine".



The act of "anointing with oil" is not intended to replace medical assistance or other therapeutic procedures. Please work in cooperation with health care or mental health professionals.

Ancient Anointing Oil & Ointment Preparation

Anointing oil is an unguent, or ointment prepared from oil alone or with the addition of flowers, fragrant herbs, gums, resins, seeds, spices and other botanicals. Some formulas were very simple and consisted of one active ingredient and olive oil, while other formulas were a complex mixture of ingredients. These unguent or ointments had distinct aromatic odours; herbal, medicinal, earthy, balsamic, spicy, or sweet aromas. It does not mean they had a sweet perfume fragrance like the perfumes we buy at the store today.

The practice of anointing with perfumed oil was common among the Hebrews and other nations.



· It was also the custom of the Jews in like manner to anoint themselves with oil, as a means of refreshing or invigorating their bodies (Deuteronomy 28:40; Ruth 3:3; 2 Sam 14:2; Micah 6:15; Psalms 104:15, Proverbs 27:9; Amos 6:6 etc.). This custom is continued among the Arabians to the present day .



· Anointing was an act of hospitality (Luke 7:38,46).



· Richly perfumed and expensive; Solomon 4:10; John 12:3

The Holy Anointing Oil (Exodus 30 Holy Oil) is the only anointing oil specifically mentioned in the Bible for this purpose.



· The promised Deliverer is twice called the "Anointed" or Messiah (Psalms 2:2; Daniel 9:25,26), because he was anointed with the Holy Ghost (Isaiah 61:1), figuratively styled the "oil of gladness" (Psalms 45:7; Hebrews 1:9). Jesus of Nazareth is this anointed One (John 1:41; Acts 9:22; 17:2,3; 18:5,28), the Messiah of the Old Testament.



· The act of anointing was significant of consecration to a holy or sacred use; hence the anointing of the high priest (Exodus 29:29; Leviticus 4:3) and of the sacred vessels (Exodus 30:26). The high priest and the king are thus called "the anointed" (Leviticus 4:3,5,16; 6:20; Psalms 132:10). Anointing a king was equivalent to crowning him (1 Samuel 16:13; 2Sam 2:4, etc.). Prophets were also anointed (1 Kings 19:16; 1 Chronicles 16:22; Psalms 105:15 ).

All believers who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior have been given this “Anointing”.

ALREADY A AFFIRMATION, TURNS INTO A CONFIRMATION . . .


Last night, I was speaking to a `infidel` husband . . .


Who told me a prayer cloth was placed yesterday, October 27th, 2008 . . . in his hands, by a stranger calling herself : JESSE


The husband shared the following office work story . . . of a prayer cloth, being placed in his hands :

First, let us consider why the woman that delivered the anointed prayer cloth, was named Jesse :

ROOT OF JESSE

(shoresh yishay (Isa 11:10); rhiza tou Iessai (Rom 15:12)): The Hebrew and Greek words are practically the same in meaning. "Root" means descendant, branch of the family or stock. The Messianic king was to be of the family of Jesse the father of David. In Rom 15:12 Paul quotes the Septuagint of Isa 11:10. Jesus is a branch or descendant of the family of Jesse, as well as of David.

. . . The Prayer Cloth Placed in the Infidel Husband's Hand (the story) :


The husband told about being at work, seeing a woman that does not come to the office often.
This woman is connected to another worker, performs work sub-contract duties on a temporary fill-in basis.

He described that no matter what part of the office building he walked into, there was Jesse.

And he almost stumbled upon her, at his every turn.

Then as he decided, in his mind, she (Jesse) must want to talk to me ?

And as the husband, started out the door to go to the service vehicle he drives, this is when Jesse stepped into his path, to stop him from leaving.

The husband said, 'Here stood a 90 pound little woman, who is suppose to have three
children, who is in her late 20's, staring up at me' !

And she told the husband, 'Hold out your hand' !

And he did.

Then she placed a piece of material in his hand, he said, her instructions were, " This is a prayer cloth, you are suppose to have this ".

He thanked her.

They departed.

In the memory, of the husband . . . he started to discuss with me (C7A) how 20 plus years ago, a woman was in a Holy Ghost filled Revival at church, when the following prayer cloth story happened :

. . . the ole' 70 year old Pentecostal Preacher, gave the woman an oil anointed prayer cloth.

And this was the ole' preacher's instructions :

" Sister, place this prayer cloth inside the pillow case of your infidel husband, God [IHVH} will deliver him to you saved and sanctified or remove him from you " !

And the end results, in two weeks . . . the infidel was removed from the sister, as this infidel kid-napped and held knives on the sister, until the angelic forces came to release her from being murdered.

. . . By Jesse, delivering the prayer cloth, the infidel husband waited for my (C7A) commentary.

I told him, "Well, the parallel may be your salvation or removal, in regard to the daughter of God {IHVH} who has been praying for an anointed husband" ?

And then the husband, was silent.

We concluded with the infidel husband saying, "I have placed the prayer cloth, from Jesse,inside my vehicle glove box, to keep from loosing it".

Yesterday, Saturday, @6:00 p.m., 11-01-2008, I found a business card
placed on my vehicle in the parking lot. The statement on the card
had a printed message, no company name, no telephone number or
any web site was printed on this message :



We can do all things. We're more than Conquerors. We & our faith are
like Mt. Zion; It cannot be moved and it will not be swayed. We are
virtuous and victorious; filled with faith, strength, peace and wisdom.
We have a sound mind and we are empowered to prosper. Greater is
'He' who is in us than 'he' who is in this world. The Truth about us:
is in Jesus!



This printed card was wonderful in light of a message from the Holy Ghost, through a friend who since 2003, has been given seven (7) messages involving the word : MOVEMENT

And the 7th message about movement, involves a specific instruction
about the earth changes . . . etc.

And she sent me the Zayin, being the 7th Hebrew alphabet and indeed
there was the word : MOVEMENT

Oh my gosh. How wonderful. I was told by the Holy Spirit 20 years ago. "I am the lightening quick sword of the Lord" and had no idea what that meant or how to use it as a powerful information.
I just loved reading all of this powerful information and your prayer. You are so right, there was no need for an additional or special prayer since one was already given. With that I made my own prayer cloth with the words, In Jesus Name on a handkerchief I've had for many years and found 2 others that my grandmother made if I need to make them as well at a future time.
I am searching for a Godly man who is honoring Christ first and as a wife he will honor me first as the bride of Christ.
These are very powerful words and no wonder I haven't found anyone that I am even remotely interested in, because they are not true men of God and they don't really know the correct things about the glory and power of women.
This is just awesome and I will continue to honor myself by continuing to look for the man God has provided for me.
You seem to always write exactly what I need to hear regarding things that are on my mind. Thank you for your powerful instincts.

Oh my goodness. I have known for several years the meaning of why I was removed from my infidel husband. And I use the term for what it is, infidel. all of this so applies to me and my thinking about my upcoming life.

I have talked with my ex and he still is an infidel that hides behind the Bible and scripture, only to continue his corrupted life. He will not repent he only says he has made mistakes he is not proud of, but will not name a thing.

I don't need for him to be anything or admit anything.
I only needed to get away from him so I could perform the righteous work that God has planned for me. I only professed Christ into my life as I was leaving him nearly 7 years ago.
It was during that time that many things were revealed to me and I knew I was being shoved away from an unrealistic situation that was killing my spirit.
I had the Holy Spirit or angels give me a writing one afternoon as we were going thru our divorce to give to him. It was so brief and so telling and to the point as to what was happening and why and what he needed to do.
He never did what they told him.

Hey Betty - this is the writing given to me to give to my husband as we began the awful and heart retching battle of divorce. He had claimed we were never married although he stated we were, on all legal documents like tax filings and insurance policies, my wedding rings, called me his wife; all the unusual stuff associated with being married.

He had gone, what I thought, was insane due to money and possessions.

As I was having, what felt like a heart attack, one afternoon in my bedroom, since I had not yet moved out, I was told to begin writing. This was an internal voice from the Holy Spirit. Although I had no idea what was to come out of my hand with the pencil, I was given even the format to put it all into and then to give it to him. The format would be too difficult to do here but the full text is the following:

February 3, 2002

I only deliver this message -

You are being asked to show your spirit with honor
You have had time to choose which weapon you would draw
Your head or your heart

The choice has been given to you several times and the choice continues to be yours
You can either wage your war with honor and escape with a polished soul
Or you can wage a difficult war and continue to dishonor yourself and those whom you say you love

The court is held in an unseen dimension
The jury is your children and wife
The Judge is your God

Justice will be served

It is your decision as to which upcoming courtroom this justice will be served in
The First Courtroom or The Second Courtroom

The choice has always been yours
This is the final time in which you will be given choice

Betty - he has barely acknowledged this account of his behavior or this writing. He only wants to forgive and have me forget which I will never forget. I had to learn to forgive, which is not a natural emotion or mental capability to us humans.

I was literally thrown out of this marriage with such vengeance that I hardly left my bed for a year after. I came to understand I would never succeed with this man nor would I ever be the woman God needs me to be if I stayed with him. I knew he was a scoundrel within 5 years of marrying him but continued to stay another 10 years since divorce would be out of the question this being my 2nd.

Who stepped in to save me? God and the Holy Spirit did. I was spiraling downward and since I would not leave on my own, I had to be viciously thrown out to 'get it'. That is when I found Christ and understanding of bible writings.

It took many important people to help me in many areas but I am whole and so happy. I am completely out of debt and have a bit of money saved. These are areas that I could never have had I stayed. Even today he has nothing and is about to file bankruptcy on 4 homes and is fully in debt.

He never repented for his sins against me or his children and although he feels he 'witnesses' to others about Christ, I believe he is a totally broken man.

I do hope this message and brief account might help other women who know deep within their hearts they are being called to a higher ground and nature but are hesitating due to fear, obligation and money issues. Remember, "All things are possible through Christ Jesus who strengthens me".

Thank-you for the beautiful word. I just came from your thread on infertality and how that thread brought tears to my eyes.

My husband and I wed in 1979 and we built our home for a family. Year after year, no baby. Such heartache....the pain so intense. Went for infertaliity treatments for 6 years and all treatments were ineffective for me. There was no medical reason why I couldn't become pregnant, I just couldn't. All too often infertality treatment is not covered by health insurance and hence, so expensive. But who was complaining, I would just waitress a few more hours a day, after-all who can put a pricetag on a life? Even so when I was alone in the house if I closed my eyes tight enough I could hear the laughter and the weeping of some of our unborn children.

During this time period going to a baby shower was extremely painful and all too often I had to attend. But anyhow after one visit to my Dr, he wanted to try just one more treatment. Problem was that the treatment cost 10 thousand dollars a try and the procedure was not 100 % foolproof. I remember coming home from the doctor and going room to room and hearing our unborn childs voices. I was thinking; "Would have been a good Mom, God. Why have you denied me this privilege?" All of a sudden I just wept and asked God to forgive me. I asked all my unborn children for forgiveness. I decided that I couldn't take it anymore mentally, and that I needed to stop treatments...which might have caused the death of our unborn children. That night I grieved them so, and said good-by.

My husband and I decided to adopt a baby from Guatemala. We went through an adoption agency in Washington DC called, "World Child." Expensive but they will get you results. About a year and a half latter we get a phone call on April 5, 1990 saying that we have a son. In October we got to fly out to bring our son home.

Our son almost died while in Guatemala from asthma. When we brought him home he was always hospitilized that first year until they found the right medication for him.

We always think of Christopher's birth mother and give thanks to God for her. She was used by God to bring our Son into the world. Here is a plague that I have in my home that says:
"An Adopted Child
Is a prayer whispered in the heart,
answered in heaven,
fulfilled in a wonderful way
by Gods eternal love...."

Folks what amazes me is that God timing is so perfect. His ways are always timed so perfectly. After 11 years of marriage God gave us a child that we so desperately wanted. But GOd worked it out in HIS way. And though child rearing I can see Gods hands in it all. To God be the Glory.
